Darina Giliova is a Bulgarian artist and visual practitioner working in the fields of painting, set design, and decorative arts. She lives and works in the town of Pomorie, where she maintains her own art studio, open to the public. She graduated from the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and St. Methodius,” with a degree in Pedagogy of Fine Arts Education – Painting, as well as a Master’s program in Decorative Arts – Mosaic. Her academic background combines a classical fine arts education with practical experience in applied and spatial arts. In her artistic practice, Darina Giliova develops painting cycles, set design concepts, and mural projects. She has completed five set designs for theatre and stage productions, as well as several murals in both public and interior spaces. She is also the author of the posters accompanying her stage projects. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, presenting her works in various exhibition formats and cultural contexts. Alongside her artistic practice, she is actively engaged in educational and organizational work. She is the founder and director of an art school for children, focused on fine arts education, creative thinking, and visual literacy. Her work in art education is a continuous and integral part of her professional practice. Darina Giliova is the chairperson of the Association for Art and Culture – Pomorie, a local professional organization of artists and creators, through which she initiates and organizes exhibitions, cultural events, and artistic projects. She is also a member of the Burgas Artists Association and actively participates in the regional and national art scene.
